Neurodiversity and the New Year
The battle over our kids' brains and behaviours will go on
The topic I’ve been thinking and writing about more than any other this year is the ‘needs explosion’. In particular, the rise of ‘neurodiversity’ and special educational needs in our children, and the impact this is having in so many ways. Especially in the classroom. I’ll have a lot more to say on this in the new year when my book The Crisis in the Classroom is published. But for now, as I wish you a Happy New Year, I’ll leave you with my thoughts on how the crisis is making itself felt in the welfare system …
