Giving voice to kids in the community
Support the campaign for one special mainstream school
My son's rather wonderful, special educational needs friendly, mainstream school has designs on this year's Xmas No.1. Some of the parents have got together to help the school weather its share of the borough's pending £8.7 million funding deficit.
Please do download the children’s version of John Farnham’s You’re the Voice and support the crowdfunder campaign to turn Barn Croft into a ‘resilient solar power station’ better able to withstand these cuts. (Even if, like me, you think there’s something to be said for the positive legacy of fossil fuel, and the benefits of a nuclear powered future too.)
As a governor at the school I may be biased. But after the damage done by lockdown and the ongoing impact of the cost of living crisis, a bit of community spirit and a heartfelt commitment to our children’s education is very welcome indeed.
Please be generous. Oh … and Merry Xmas!
